Exhibition Opening
“Drawing Attention”
Opening Night is Friday, June 4, 2010
They draw every Sunday. Faithful to drawing and drawing together, they are different in everyway. Chuck Walker – oil painter, Liliana Perez – watercolorist, Charlie B Thorne – micro-miniaturist, Fletcher Hayes – photographer, Tyrue Jones – graffiti artist; they all gather on Sunday afternoons to hone their core skill of drawing the human figure. Some are established fine artists, others are designers and illustrators, yet others are scribblers who love to sketch while the music plays. Come witness this rare ensemble. You will have the opportunity to see not only their Sunday work but catch glimpses of their renderings in other mediums that are as diverse as can be.

ABOUT TOM ROBINSON STUDIO/GALLERY:
Tom Robinson -- artist, curator, arts administrator, competition founder and judge, teacher, innovator -- has been a driving force in the Chicago art scene for over 30 years. “I never tire of the ways different artists see and capture the same scene”, says Robinson. “The real difference comes from how the artists direct their attention.”
